Motorola Droid as the Milestone in Germany

motorola-droid-milestone

It’s a brand new week and the buzz around Motorola’s second Android phone, the Droid, is still going strong. Well the phone is ready to be sold in some European countries. O2 is the official carrier that will bring the carrier to Germany. The phone has appeared on O2’s website and on Motorola Germany’s website. The Droid has been confirmed and it will be available starting with November 9. The Droid shall be known as the Motorola Milestone, but who cares about the name of the device? Not because we like the Droid better than the Milestone but because Apple’s iPhone doesn’t change names when going to a different market. The point is that maybe a hit phone like the Droid should have the same name no matter what continent you’ll find it on. We have no precise details but we’ll probably see the Milestone available in various European markets and top carriers like Vodafone, Orange, T-Mobile or O2 will definitely want to sell it.
